NOTES:
The USS Constellation participated in a total of 11 separate campaigns,
during the Vietnam War.
This results in 2 Silver Stars & 1 Bronze Star on the ribbon
and medal to reflect those 11 campaigns.
At this time we are unable to place an additional Silver Star on
the Viet Nam Service Medal to reflect the correct number of campaigns,
the due to a programming error in the commercial web site used.
The correct stars should be 2 Silver Stars and 1 Bronze Star, and
not as show on this picture.

1] Vietnam Service Medals: Single ribbon Multiple Dates
One Ribbon per cruse. No attachments
2] All dates are taken from CNO list of Medals awarded to Constellation.
Southwest Asia Service Medal and the
Humanitarian Service Medals are not listed, however, these ribbons
are shown on the awards page of the
Constellation Decommissioning book. In addition several former crew
members stated they received the above medals
while serving on Constellation. Dates are unknown.
3] Republic of Vietnam Presidential Unit commendation was awarded
to Constellation in 1968.
4] Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm was award by the
Republic of Vietnam on the dates above. Single medal with no
attachments.
CAUTION: The medals and dates listed above are the latest provided
by the office of the Chief of Naval Operations. All Persons should
verify eligibility for awards on your DD-214. If you Feel you are
entitled to an award not listed on your DD-214 Submit an SF-180
